Mental Health Professional Training

This aim focuses on providing evidence-based suicide prevention training to mental health professionals (MHPs) in an attempt to enhance MHP knowledge, skills, and positive attitudes toward working with suicidal clients and effectively managing their risk of suicide. The following program has been successfully implemented across multiple projects:

Question, Persuade, Refer, Treat (QPRT) Suicide Risk Assessment and Management Training.

An evidence-based, training for mental health professionals typically working in behavioral health care or outpatient mental health settings. The training provides information on screening, assessment, safety planning, and referrals. Recently, an additional live roleplay component has been added to enhance the training and reinforce learned concepts.
