F.L.Y.S.P. (Florida Youth Suicide Prevention) Project


Project Overview

Associate Professor Marc Karver, Ph.D. and Professor Krista Kutash, Ph.D. have received a three-year, 1.4 million dollar federally-funded suicide prevention grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA) to evaluate the state of Florida’s efforts to reduce the rate of suicide in youths aged 10 to 24.

The Florida Youth Suicide Prevention (FLYSP) Partnership is a three-year project with 10 major aims:

The Florida ASAP Partnership will target 3 diverse sites, covering a total of 7 counties: Northeast FL (Nassau, Clay, St. John's), Central FL (Hillsborough), and South FL (Miami-Dade, Monroe, Collier).
