THe Vision-cognition-design lab

The Vision-Cognition-Design Lab here at the University of South Florida was founded in 1984 and is dedicated to conducting research in many areas including but not limited to visual short-term memory, scene perception and object recognition, visual attention, and human factors areas like human video surveillance monitoring. Our main research focus is currently on identifying the limits and constraints on visual short-term memory such as the effects of interrelatedness, color harmony, and spatial relationships.

We have a diverse and talented group of undergraduate and graduate researchers working under the direction of the founder and head of the lab, Dr. Sanocki. For more information on individual lab members please see our 'People' page.
