Fence River Project

by Nathan Rakes

Submitted : Fall 2011

The problem was to determine the dividing of a piece of land between two crops (a and b) in order to maximize the profit for the farmer. I found the equations of area of A1 and A2 using  then used that to determine where b should be placed by finding the max of the first Area. This gave me the ability to determine the profit. I knew my two areas and where b needed to be located so I plugged these numbers into my profit formula given and determined the maximum profit.
