Time of Death

The objective of this paper is to use Newton’s Law of Cooling to discover how long a body has been dead. To do so we will derive Newton’s Law and use the formula in a hypothetical scenario that mirrors what real life forensic scientists and medical examiners do. Using Newton’s Law we successfully found the time of death, but determined that the method used is only practical in certain situations for crime scene investigators.
