by Jaden Luu Luu

Submitted : Spring 2021

This project utilizes calculus to measure the distance a basketball travels on a shot. The top of the rim is 10 feet (3.048 m) from the floor. The ball will be shot with an arc of 60 degrees with respect to the x axis. It will get in the basket at a time of 2.5 seconds and have an initial velocity of 5.5 m/s. With my result, I calculated the distance the ball traveled.
