The focus of this paper is to find how much laundry can be done in a single load of laundry to maximize the output of laundry to save water, time, and do minimum damage to septic tanks. This paper explores how to find the max volume a washing machine can hold to minimize the number of loads needed to be done, thus reducing the amount of wastewater being drained into septic tanks, using the washer and disk method. This one simple method can be applied to any sized washing machine and has many other real-world applications.
