Removal of the Biggest Threat to Sea Turtle Populations

The declining sea turtle population prompts for conservation efforts to be made. With humans being the main threat to their population, we are responsible for making strides to restore and protect the species. Without sea turtles, the ocean would lose a species that brings high productivity to ecosystems and protects our diverse coral reefs. Plastic pollution is one of the biggest factors in their population decline. With a logistical harvesting approach, ocean plastic can be removed at a steady rate. This is done through complex roots, creating a high rate of harvest. This results in no equilibrium, allowing plastic to be continuously removed until there is no more plastic left in the ocean.
