Calculus within the Engineering Disipline: Stress on Beams

This project determined from a standard beam with a distributed load the external forces and how they related to the internal forces of the shear force and the bending moment for any given point on the beam. The conclusions were that with the derived formulas the forces acting upon any beam can be determined and so where a beam is likely to fail, where to place reinforcements, and so on.
