Signal Analysis and Audio Filtering Using Fast Fourier Transform

In this project, I set out to create and filter an audio sample using Fourier series operations as an introduction to this subject in the field of audio engineering. To simulate this problem, I recorded an audio sample of singing with unwanted noise in the background. Using the software “MATLAB”, I wrote a code to analyze and filter the audio. The calculations I performed allowed me to effectively filter out as much of the background noise as possible, and significantly improve the quality of the audio sample.
