Submitted : Fall 2014 The intermediate Value Theorem, or MVT, is consider one of the most useful discoveries in Calculus. Understanding mathematics depends on understanding the concepts and finding practical uses for them. Looking at a modern day example using MVT, traffic enforcement will make Mean Value Theorem less of a random assortment of functions, to a practical tool used to determine a value reached between two known points.
