Radiometric Dating Project

This project will demonstrate how to calculate the age, based on the depth of the laminae of geological samples taken of Phreatic Overgrowths on Speleothems (POS), by using radiometric half-life decay ratio slopes from specific isotopes of uranium and thorium (²³⁴U and ²³⁰Th). The calculation to estimate the degree of uncertainty for a given age-depth will also be demonstrated.
