Submitted : Fall 2012 The intention of this paper is to discuss an advance in the application of Magnetic Resonance Imaging using Magnetic Resonance Force Microscopy to increase detection sensitivity and generate 3D morphological and functional information of compounds with a voxel volume <40μm3(1). This is accomplished over two steps; collecting the data and reconstructing the images. Collected data is analyzed by creating a map of the spin signals generated as a function of the scan position and relating the map to the proton distribution via formula 1. Image resolution is achieved by utilizing an integrative Landweber algorithm which begins with the previously calculated spin density of the object and then improves each successive estimate using formulas 3 and 4.
