Submitted : Spring 2011 In the field of robotics, forward kinematics is needed for both the engineer and the computer to find the location and direction of the End Effector. Knowing the lengths and the extent of each link can rotate forward kinematics can tell the engineer the extent of the work space. There is many ways of calculating the position of the End Effector from matrix transformations to trigonometric equations. Demonstrated here is the use of trigonometric equations that gives a better picture of the robots work space and all the possible locations the End Effector is capable of moving to.
