Bending of a Beam and Triangular Loads

We completed an analysis of the bending of a beam, given a triangular distributed loading. With this information, we used the principles of Mechanics of Materials to mathematically describe the deflection of the beam. We conducted a full analysis of the bending of the beam as well as calculated the cross section using the American Institute of Steel Construction manual.
