Other >> OtherApplication of Calculus in Intraindividual Variabilityby Belen Del Rosario
Submitted : Spring 2021 Using formulas prepared by Psychol Methods (Bergeman et al., 2009), I used matrix calculus in order to determine the estimated first and second derivatives. From the first and second derivatives, I was able to interpret how fast scores were changing with respect to time between different age groups in their recorded scores for neuroticism, as well as if the changing scores were accelerating or decelerating with respect to time. Based on my results, there was the highest variability in scores in older age groups, showing signs of intraindividual variability in this simulated data.
