CO2 Emission on Mauna Loa

CO2 emissions are one of many detrimental impacts of anthropogenic growth that has resulted in climate change. CO2 is a naturally occurring gas in our atmosphere however these gas has been detected at astronomical levels in the later years. Places like Mauna Loa in Hawaii have seen an increase in CO2 emissions. The objective of this project is to analyze the change in CO2 content in the stratosphere which can help in understanding how much is being emitted and what we can do to reduce it. This was done by finding curved fitting based on the plotted points of CO2 emission over the last 80 years. The differential was used to find the rate of change. Different years can be placed into this equation to get an estimate of how much CO2 emissions will be released based on the pattern that we are currently seeing. 

The results found that CO2 emissions on Mauna Loa have increased exponentially and will continue to increase if not addressed. This could have detrimental effects for the people of Mauna Loa and for the Earth as a whole. It is imperative that large corporations look into their CO2 emissions and devote time and money into finding more sustainable ways to produce their commodities.
