Engineering >> Chemical & Biomedical EngineeringEfficiency of Semiconductor Chips Based on Areaby Nicole Traynor
Submitted : Fall 2020 Semiconductor technology becomes faster and more precise with the constant development of new manufacturing methods. One step of the process of creating semiconductor silicon chips is through photolithography. This report discusses the efficiency of two different chip examples. The area of the chip’s design was calculated through the process of integration. These areas were then subtracted by the area of the chip’s surface. The most effective wafer has a better ability to have more chips on the silicon wafer. This information can be applied for the creation of more efficient chips as transistors become quicker.
