Calculus in Rocket Science

Astrophysics is a field of science which deals with outer space and the cycle of life and death of planets, stars etc. In this project we will evaluate how the scientists were able to predict the position of moon and send astronomers into outer space using calculus. We will evaluate how the scientists involved in Apollo 11 mission used Lunar Orbit Rendezvous (LOR) to get to moon and back.  We will evaluate how was the work, energy, jet propulsion and thrust calculated using calculus. We will use the limit definition of the derivative to the sudden jump from zero to certain velocity.
