Knowing the half-life enables drug administrators to monitor the effect of the drug on patients. This project presents a mathematical model for estimating the half-life of a drug. Half-life will tell how long it takes approximately for  1/2 of the prescription’s active substance to be eliminated from the body. The mathematical approach used to solve the problem would stem from determining the rate at which drug concentration falls. This essentially becomes an important to grasp in pharmacokinetics as medicinal half-lives are needed to be known and understood by pharmacists and manufacturers.
