Calculating Maximum Power to Load After Passing Through A Resistance

by David Stoner

Submitted : Spring 2019

For the project, the equation to calculate the maximum amount of power that would make it to the load in a circuit, after passing through a constant resistance was determined. Given two equations from the problem statement, and using simple substitution, an equation that better describes the amount of power will reach the load “R” was found. Then using the substitution rule from section 5.5 when deriving, it was found that “R” could be replaced with “r” in the new equation for power. Doing this the final equation for maximum amount of power that would reach the load “R” was found.
