UNDERSTANDING AND PROJECTING DRAFTING AND DESIGNING WORK TRENDS

For this analysis into the finding the trends and equation for the amount of projects that TrueNet received in 7 weeks, it was first started with collecting data on the amount of jobs we received for 7 weeks and compiled the data into a table and made a graph to see the trendline and whether the slope was negative or not.  Once the graph was made, it was noted that the trendline was linear but was going in the negative direction- which shows that maybe during these periods closer to holidays that the amount of projects we are receiving is considerably less. After analyzing the graph and the trend lines, we went about finding the average value of x for the equation which was found by the graph and the use of Excel.  The average value was determined to 4,935 jobs in the time of 7 weeks at the company and through the data collected the total value was 5,758 jobs.  So this data and the calculations was spot on and determined to be correct.  Next it was decided to use an exponential function and compare that to the formula to find the amount of jobs at my work.  I found the area between these two graphs and then realized that the amount of jobs is decreasing but not in an alarming manner and  attributed some of the net loss of projects to the incoming holiday season and also took into account that some of the data was collected the week before Thanksgiving- when many larger telecommunications companies are closed.  Therefore the overall analysis was that the workflow is a little lighter but overall the trend is not worrisome and the payroll and amount of employees works with the demands currently. Adding any other employees or losing any could negatively effect other factors in this situation and at my company.
