Future World Population

by Chandler Constantino

Submitted : Fall 2017

In the year 2025 it is predicted that water shortages will be affecting 2/3 of all people. Population growth poses a major environmental threat, and this project aims to find an accurate figure for the world population at future dates. By combining exponential functions with statistics on the last 30 years of world population growth rate, a method to calculate this number was created. The results of this experiment were able to conclude that 2025 may be more than a year too late to expect severe water crises.
