Simulation of a Roller Coaster

by John Brautigam

Submitted : Spring 2012

Given a function for the rollercoaster track and its initial position of the rollercoaster its path of travel can simulate. When given this function a graph was able to be produced of velocity vs. time, as well as velocity vs. distance. Another graph produced was velocity squared vs. height. This graph shows the law of the conservation of energy. These graphs show how long it took the roller coaster to go 150 meters and the velocity at the end of the track.
