Physical Problem for Integration: Industrial Engineer

The objective of this project was to conduct quality control on a sample of bolts. This was done on a sample of 3/4″ long bolts. This is involved calculating the area under the normal distribution function. The calculations were approximated with Riemann sums. This was done by setting up a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet and using it to set up Left Hand, Mid Point and Right Hand Riemann sums. The final results proved that the quality of the bolt sample was quite low.
