Using Hooke's Law to Calculate the Work of a Spring

The focus of this paper is to use Hooke’s law to calculate the amount of work done on a spring as it is extended to a certain distance. This work is meant to demonstrate the principals behind Hooke’s law and give a little insight to the functionality and usefulness of springs and other elastic objects.
