How the Concentration of Amoxicillin Can Identify the Prescription for a Patient

Amoxicillin is an antibiotic drug derived from penicillin, given to patients with infections. The derivative of the given equation can be used to identify the time at which the concentration of amoxicillin is at its peak in the bloodstream and calculate the rate at which the amoxicillin is metabolized by the body. An improper integral can be used to find the concentration of the drug up to the first hour. Once the time of complete excretion is calculated the proper prescription can be given with the appropriate dosage depending on the weight of the patient. This information can help give patients the correct dosage as the dosage differs with the size of each patient. For Rocky, his prescription was found to be 2 50mg tablets every 12 hours.
