Leatherback Sea Turtle Population in Five Years

by Brianna Cesaroni

Submitted : Fall 2019

The Leatherback Sea Turtle is an endangered species around the world. The US Fish and Wildlife Services send out surveyors every year to track the number of nests on index beaches. Using the exponential and logistics population growth equations, we can see approximately what the numbers could be in five years. To make this more accurate, we must look at the possibility of an increasing or decreasing population, which results in different numbers of nests.
