Medicine >> OtherDetermination of red blood cells lost during surgeryby Mohamed Alnaqbi
Submitted : Fall 2018 A normal person is estimated to carry about five litters of blood in his circulatory system.
This blood comprises of different components namely; plasma, white blood cells, red
blood cells, water and platelets. These components have different functions that they
carry out in the body for it to function effectively. The red blood cell (RBC) is a vital cell
that is crucial in the body. It ensures proper circulation of air at all times to all organs in
the body. During surgery a lot of RBCs are lost and it is important to know how much is
lost so that it can be replaced. Calculus can be integrated in medicine and provide a
lasting solution (6. Applications of Differential Calculus, 2016). It could revolutionize
surgery sector.
