Engineering >> EngineeringRepeatability Estimates of Sloped Scattered Databy Angelique Waller
Submitted : Fall 2009 Repeatability is finding the variance in data that was accumulated under the same conditions. Repeatability is important to the engineer because it can save them time and money from having to recalibrate the project. There are two methods that can be applied to find the new data points; however, it is crucial to limit it to only one method. The coordinate method will be rotating each single data point in order to find the new point. The first order approximation method is bringing the point straight down on its location on the x axis to a new location on the y axis. That is when repeatability comes into play because the method with the highest repeated measures will be the more accurate and precise method by attaining the value.
