Calculating the Volume of Water Necessary in a Hydroelectric Power Plant

by Leonardo Sales

The lack of electricity is an eminent problem that slows the process of urban evolution, especially in countries of underdevelopment, like some in South America, and in this case, Brazil. In order for energy to be nation wide provided, most companies rely on hydroelectric power due to the vast and rich river basins this country owns. But before investing time and money into that business. How could one know the best fit place according to the cost of construction and volume of water necessary to power up a certain region?
