Analysis and Forecast of Acidic Concentration in Tampa Bay

The purpose of this report is to document, calculate, and forecast future levels of acidity contained in the waters of Tampa Bay in five-year (5) increments, using information gathered from a variety of sources in 2004, and using the data that year as a basis for our calculations and determinations. We calculate the amount of acidic wastewater spilling into the bay as recorded in 2004 and increasing in concentration with time, t, according to the expression 0.02t grams per gallon of water contained in Tampa Bay at any point in time a future sample is tested and measured.
