Medicine >> OtherWhen Growth of Staphylococcus Aureus Begins After Being Introduced to Propofol and Thiopentoneby Kristy Flores
Submitted : Fall 2013 Based on experimental data, this project aimed to establish the time it took Staphylococcus Aureus to begin growing in different concentrations of propoloft and thiopentone. The growth of bacterial culture was noted at seven different times within a 120-hour period after the mixture was exposed to S. aureus, however, the time frames when growth was checked were broad. The data obtained from a study done by Jourbert et al was plotted and its fitted curve was analyzed to provide a narrower time frame for when the growth began. To find how many hours it took for bacteria to grow in the respective mixtures, Fermat’s theorem was used to approximate this change.
