Although this is a web site devoted to the McCoyLab, in many ways it actually is about what our students refer to as the "Hearl" Lab. I have collaborated with Henry Mushinsky (the "H" in HearlLab) for more than 25 years, to attack a variety of conservation problems in Florida and elsewhere. We have co-directed dozens of great graduate students and post-docs, including all of those whose projects are described here. The quality and impact of our research has been enhanced by this collaboration, and our graduate students and post-docs have profited from working with two mentors who have very different scientific backgrounds.
