Building the Most Buoyant Boat

by Michael LaDuke

Submitted : Fall 2008

This project required the student to design the dimensions of a boat, out of a 12' by 12' piece of easily bendable material, that would hold the most weight without sinking. This required the student to not only decide which shape would be the most buoyant, but then would require them to decide which dimensions to make it given the piece of material.
