Using a Capacitor to Moderate Load Voltage

by Bryce Hotalen

Submitted : Spring 2009

This report discusses how voltage can be moderated in a circuit with fluctuating current. This is done by adding a capacitor in parallel with the load. By manipulating the mathematical model for the circuit it is possible to determine the effect of the capacitance on moderating the voltage across the load.
