Submitted : Fall 2011 There is little data released stating that DNA altered plants lead to health risks, but the data is quite clear on the growth of each individual crop ranging from the two most widely spread, cotton and soybeans, to the most popularly consumed, corn. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) released graphical data illustrating the rapid growth of each crop2. Cotton is not typically viewed for data in acre occupation. For this crop, I used the linear-least square function to determine what year insect-resistant (Bt) cotton crops would reach one hundred percent occupation in acres across the United States. My data found that by the year 2017, insect resistance cotton crops will cover one hundred percent of United States acres. Related Links:
