Removing Pharmacueticals From Hillsborough Tap Water

by John Demeter

Submitted : Spring 2010

The main purpose of this project is to see how much it will cost to remove pharmaceuticals and other hormones that are showing up in our tap water. In order to determine this I had to find out how much water Hillsborough was using during one year. Then The Trapezoidal Rule was used to find the total amount of gallons being used and multiply this by the dollar amount per 1000 gallons.
