Analysis of an Aquarium Pump

by Christine Tarro

Submitted : Fall 2016

There are times when an aquarium tank needs to be depleted of the water in it. To find what pump would be best to use, the work needs to be found. The first step is to determine the volume of water that is in the tank. The second step is to use the volume of water to find the mass of the water in the tank. In the third step the work is found by using the mass of the water. Based on the work an electric pump should be used to empty the tank of water.
