Calculating Torque of a Turbine Engine

by Brett Hauschildt

Submitted : Fall 2015

In this project we calculated the amount of additional power each engine would need to produce in case of an engine failure. We used a number of different formulas for torque and rotational bodies. In conclusion we found that roughly an additional ten to eleven percent additional power would be needed from each of the three remaining engines to maintain a constant velocity in the event that one engine fails.
