Submarine V. Surface Ship—Related Rates

Given a circumstance where a submarine and a surface ship are in a war game simulation against one another I used related rates to calculate how fast the enemy combatant was traveling and also when and where to drop a depth charge to destroy the submarine. This is a very helpful technique used around the world to calculate similar problems.
