Age of the Universe

Edwin Hubble once said “Equipped with his five senses, man explores the universe around him and calls the adventure Science.”(Edwin Hubble). The age of the universe is a debate between many astronomers. Edwin Hubble used all five of his senses to calculate the age of the universe. Edwin Hubble discovered the Hubble law. Hubble’s law is “A law of cosmology stating that the rate at which astronomical objects in the universe move apart from each other is proportional to their distance from each other.”(thefreedictionary.com). According to Hubble’s law our universe is expanding, and the farthest galaxies are speeding away faster. The relation of velocity and distance became Hubble’s law. If Hubble’s law is correct then there could be two out comes. The results are the universe will expand forever, or gravity will eventually stop the expansion and cause the universe to collapse. I will be calculating the size of the universe, and whether it will expand forever or collapse. Also by measuring the rate of expansion of the universe, we can calculate the age of the universe.
