Integration with Metal

by Timothy Rockwell

Submitted : Fall 2013

In this project, I will make a graphical representation of right side of the top part of a motorcycle shock absorber. Using the equations that define this area, I will integrate the area to get the total volume. Seeing that the part is made up of aluminum, I can use the average density of aluminum to calculate its mass. The answers that I calculated were somewhat below my original assumptions, but were definitely fitting for the size of the part being analyzed.
