Sequential Reactions in a CSTR

by Michael Grillo

Submitted : Fall 2013

This project generates a continuous stirred tank reactor which produces product a, b and c. The goal is to find the maximized product of concentration of b at reaction time τ. This continuous stirred tank reactor implements a sequential reaction in which as the reaction proceeds product a is formed then completely reacted to form product b and then product b is completely reacted to form product c. Reaction time τ determines which product is formed and essentially what stage of the reaction the reactor has completed.
