Electrical Efficiency of a CuInGaSe2 Solar Panel

by Brittany Clift

Submitted : Spring 2013

This project provides inspection of a modern solar panel, composed of CuInGaSe2, using integration techniques in effort to obtain an approximate value for the electrical efficiency. This will be done using the application Microsoft Excel and referencing outside resources to gain insight on the matter. This problem is both relevant and important to the field because engineers constantly strive to be more efficient, and when improvement of existing technologies seems to plateau, they seek other methods of achieving similar but better results. Energy of the future relies on research and perfection of solar power.
