Temperature Distribution in a Cylindrical Bar

by Christopher Frazier

Submitted : Fall 2012

The objective of this project was to make it possible to find out what the temperature profile looks like in a cylindrical bar. I first proved that equation (2) is a solution the differential equation that represents the temperature T inside the bar as a function of interior position (r, θ). Then I evaluated the integrals for A0, An and Bn. Having evaluated these equations, It is now possible to find the temperature distribution along any cylinder given the radius.
