Correlation Among Different Variables and Life Expectancy

by June Liu

Submitted : Spring 2011

The purpose of this project is to show how different variables such as heart rate, metabolic rate, and body mass of different species correlate to life expectancy with the highest degree using data collected from various organisms. The relationships are represented and analyzed in different graphs and Pearson’s Product-Moment Correlation was employed to interpret the collected data. After applying the formula and finding the correlation coefficient, it was determined that heart rate had the highest degree of correlation with life expectancy.
