Optimum Location of an Oil Storage Facility with Different Supply Rates

by Nathan Henderson

Submitted : Spring 2011

Consider the case of three oil wells, locatead (x1, y1), (x2, y2) and (x3, y3), each of which supplies oil to a common storage facility. The optimum location (x, y) of the storage facility in this case will be that for which the total pipeline cost is minimized.
