Alzheimer’s disease creates a great amount of grief for patients and their families. The past experimental data regarding the loss of nerve cells compared with the normal degree of loss of nerve cells has been used. The graphs of the normal brain nerve cell decay tend to follow a linear path of decay versus the trend of an Alzheimer’s patient nerve cells, which tend to follow a parabola after onset of the disease. I calculated the best fit curves for the different data I have obtained. They tend to follow a similar pattern. These curves could become a reliable tool to help determine if a patient suffers from Alzheimer’s disease.
