Emedded Systems- Missile Detection/Interception

This project intends to demonstrate the mathematical techniques behind systems that are used to calculate the trajectory of incoming missiles and the position of interception at a given time after detection. The procedure involved the use of vector-valued functions, systems of equations, and knowledge of projectile motion concepts. Most of the procedure was simplified and tested by using Mathematica, a computational software program used in areas of technical computing. With the given information in the problem, it was possible obtain the equation that describes the motion of an incoming missile over time. With this equation, the time for the missile to reach a critical height and impact was calculated and then compared to the time delay of four missiles that could be used for interception. The position-over-time equations for the outgoing missiles were obtained as well.
